Useful doesn’t have to be BORING
I’ve spent years prioritizing function over form. At times out of necessity, but more often because it seemed silly to spend money on things that were pretty, but not as useful as something more…ordinary.
As I’ve gotten older, I’ve come to realize that I don’t want to surround myself with boring, functional things. I want the best of both worlds.
This doesn’t mean everything needs to be busy or ornate (although I do love some Victorian Gothic design). It means that I would rather keep my pens in a leather holder instead of rolling around in bags or breaking the spines of my journals. I want the things I use everyday to bring me joy.
This is the foundation for my products: well-made items that are meant to be used, not set aside for special occasions or protected from wear.
